The Lancaster County Libraries have been very busy this summer, with a record number of sign-ups for summer reading program — over 1,700 registrations at all three county libraries.
All our summer activities have been well attended. We have a variety of things going on across all three library branches, from story times to special performer shows, teen and tween programs to family nights. There is something going on for all ages. The final performances and activities are this week.
The programs will wrap up with parties with food, crafts, games and more at all three libraries. The Kershaw Branch Library party is 2-4 p.m. Aug. 9. The Lancaster Library party is 2-4 p.m. Aug. 10. The Del Webb Branch Library (Indian Land) party is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 10.
The summer programs wrap up Aug. 10, so anyone participating needs to be sure to turn in all their reading logs and pick up their prizes before the end of that day.
