Twisted Mix Flowers & Things had its grand opening Saturday, June 4, at 118 N. Pearl Street.
Owners Judy Alexander and daughter, Jean McCord, said their floral shop is family-owned and operated and is one that wants to be a blessing to the Pageland community and other surrounding areas.
“Jean and I have wanted to start a business in town for some time,” Alexander remarked. “So, we took a leap of faith in March and began working towards our goal.”
The business specializes in fresh, live flower arrangements for all occasions, including weddings, funerals, birthdays and other special celebrations. The store will also deliver flowers within a 30-mile radius for an additional fee.
Customers can come into the shop and find novelty gifts, homemade candles, jewelry and home décor as well.
The mother and daughter team put their heads together and came up with the perfect motto for their business — “Get your favorite picks @ Twisted Mix.”
The business accepts debit and credit cards, cash and checks.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The business can be reached at 843-675-7100.
Alexander and McCord are originally from Marshville, N.C., but moved to the Pageland area several years ago.
Alexander is married to the Rev. Scott Alexander, pastor of Southside Ministries. In addition to their daughter, the couple has two sons.
McCord is the mother of two teenage daughters.
